Infection by regions: The worst is in the Zlín region, the surrounding districts are also worse

Zlínsko continues to maintain at the district level the largest cumulative number of infected people in the last seven days. According to Sunday’s data from the Ministry of Health, there are 1114.52 infected per 100 thousand inhabitants, a total of 5673 cases.

There is also a relative increase in those infected in the surrounding districts. After the Zlín region, the highest cumulative number of infected is in the Prostějov region, namely 1025.35, a total of 2817 cases, followed by the neighboring district of Zlín Vsetínsko with 1024.88 infected per 100 thousand inhabitants and 3194 registered cases of Covid-19.

Districts by cumulative number of infected:

The absolute most cases of infection were recorded in Prague. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 37,484 people have become infected, with a cumulative number of 663.23. It is followed by Brno with 8,693 cases and 691.24 patients per 100,000 inhabitants and Ostrava with 6,610 and a cumulative number of 576.93.

Total number of cases by district:

The lowest density of those infected is in the Cheb region. There are 338.3 patients per 100,000 inhabitants and a total of 1,552 Covid-19 cases are recorded by hygienists. Teplicko is slightly worse with a cumulative number of 394.35 and 1655 cases and Karviná with 449 patients per 100,000 inhabitants and a total of 5,416 cases.

So far, the smallest number of infected has appeared in the Jesenice region, the total number of detected positive tests is 749, the cumulative number is 813.84. They have a total of 834 detected cases in the Tachov region, 647.82 per 100 inhabitants. It is followed by the Český Krumlov region with 896 cases and a cumulative number of 523.1.

Deaths of patients with Covid-19 by districts:

According to data from October 17, the coronavirus has the highest number of victims in Prague, namely 254. Cheb and Ostrava-město have the same 68, 41 people with Covid-19 died in Olomouc.
