Sony has released sales data for its games and boasted record shipments of the new The Last of Us Part II exclusive.
According to the company, in the first 72 hours since the release, the new Naughty Dog game sold over 4 million copies, becoming Sony’s fastest-selling game.
Before her, the record belonged to Final Fantasy VII and it was an indicator of 3.5 million copies. Over the same period, Spider-Man sold 3.3 million copies, God of War 2018 had 3.1 million copies, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End at one time boasted a figure of 2.7 million copies.
The creator of the game, Neil Druckmann, thanked not only gamers for their dedication, faith in the studio and positive feedback and support. He also thanked hundreds of different professionals who have spent years creating this game.
