Romilly-sur-Andelle. In recent months, the former engineer biologist Astrid Nobine opened her caring dog education company, Dog’s way. A not so radical change for the one who has been volunteering in shelters since her teenage years.
In the hangar at 166 rue Blingue, Rainbow, 2 and a half years old, docilely accompanies her mistress for a demonstration of “dog dancing” – choreography to music – before greeting the audience. His little trick will earn him a cake. This is one of the foundations of so-called benevolent dog training that Astrid Nobine defends: “I work in a positive method, explains the young woman. We do not intervene on the dog directly, we use the environment and the reward. “
His company, Dog’s way, was born a few months ago, at the end of September 2020, and already has around thirty clients. It has received aid of € 4,350 from the Region, as part of the Coup de Pouce scheme. “It was created in 2017 with the idea of supporting businesses”, recalls Anne-Laure Marteau, regional advisor. At the back of the hangar, a fitted training room allows you to work on theory, in groups or individually. Most of the places offer an indoor training space, for example for the “dog dancing” that she practices herself with Rainbow.
Above all, it has three outdoor courts. “They are used for all that is learning. One of the big things is bringing home sports, not just putting the dog in the garden. ”
The educator thus works on tailor-made, an approach different from that of the clubs for which she has volunteered: “As an association, you follow a program. Here people come with their goals. “ May she help them achieve a smooth learning background.

Helping a young craftsman
Romilly-sur-Andelle is definitely on the rise: Allan Barbet has also benefited from the Region’s Helping Hand, amounting to € 6,000.

Supported by the latter, Allan Barbet also takes time to train in turn: “Currently, I have two interns. I try to reciprocate ”, he smiles. In less than a year, his small company took off. “We make a lot of stairs, railings, gates”, he lists. Allan Barbet is already planning to take on an apprentice as early as September.
