On Monday, the jurors of the Rhône Assize Court sentenced a manager of a sports hall in Villeurbanne to twelve years of criminal imprisonment for the rapes and sexual assault perpetrated on his eldest family. The victim, now 16, was 12 at the time of the incident, reports Progress.
The teenager testified to having suffered, between 2016 and 2017, a dozen incestuous acts, whether forced sex or caresses. She filed a complaint in 2019 on the advice of a classmate, who had encouraged her to confide in a psychologist.
Following the verdict, the 49-year-old father had his parental authority withdrawn. He was also sentenced to 5 years of socio-judicial follow-up with the obligation to seek treatment and the formal ban from now on being in professional contact with minors.
