Fortnite came to the world a few years ago not as we know it today, for being one of the most successful Battle Royale and free to play of all time, but for offering a Cooperative PvE survival experience called “Saving the World”. This game mode has always been present in the title, although until now it had kept the label of early access; something to go down in history starting today. Epic Games has reported the official launch to save the world, although not free for all players as promised.

He third anniversary Fortnite and Save the World is next and from Epic Games it seems that they finally have everything ready for the official launch of this PvE mode that has accompanied the title since its inception. As they explain from the company, the game has constantly changing since then:
We’ve added a huge collection of unique heroes and schematics, a review of the hero’s interface and gear, a weapon re-warming system, a climate narrative experience, and many more things that have shaped Save the World into a massive collection RPG experience.
Now the time has come to remove the early access tag Battle Royale, Creative Mode and Save the World, although contrary to what Epic Games had promised years ago, it has been “made the decision that remain a premium experience and not be free content“. Therefore, Saving the World will be officially launched from this Thursday July 2, 2020 with new packs, the first being the following:
The Metal Team Leader Pack
- Sale price: 19,99 euros.
- This pack introduces access to Save the World.
- A new hero.
- The Pap Bear bear outline.
- The Backpacking Accessory Alert Tie.
- Metal Team Leader Challenges (exclusive to Save the World, will allow you to earn up to 1,000 PaVos, 500 X-ray bills and a legendary Troll Stash Flame).
What about the founders?
Epic Games has reported that all paid founders they will upgrade their founder packs to the next level and they will unlock all the rewards included in the improved pack for free. The owners of the definitive Edition they will receive the new leader pack of the metal team and 8000 paVos.
It has also been made known that in the coming months, Save the world no longer be compatible with all upcoming cosmetic purchases from Fortnite’s Battle Royale, but the cosmetic library will still work in both modes. Developing new content to Save the World will slow down after this official launch, but the adventure does not end here.

Introducing the Adventure feature
“Long-term replayability is the key motivation behind our next great feature, Adventures.”. It is a new excursion that will last all season which takes place in a seasonal zone with unique and new modifiers to deal with. Each Adventure season includes a path of continuous progression of levels in season to go up.
As the Adventure system is introduced, the recurring annual seasonal programs will change where existing narratives and events in the game, such as Frostnite and Dungeons, will continue in a unique seasonal rotation to Save the World and separate from Battle Royale mode. Also keep in mind that:
- The huge library: Heroes, Schemes, and missions in Save the World will rotate throughout each season, bringing new missions and heroes out at a slower rate.
- This will occur through: mission rewards, event flames or inside the event store.
- The basis continue: correcting mistakes and balancing throughout each season.
