Florida, shocked by the death of two neighbors

“What happened is more in line with a police series than reality,” wrote yesterday on his Facebook the timplist Josele del Pino, nephew of the woman who died on Saturday in Adeje, whose body was found together with that of her partner in a home in vacation rental without signs of violence.

The deceased, 40 years old and who responds to the initials of SHA, was a native of the neighborhood of La Florida, in La Orotava, whose neighbors do not quite believe what happened.

According to one of them pointed out to this newspaper, she was divorced with two children and very loved in the area. They referred to her as “a lovely girl.”

His current partner, NM 42, was also from the same municipality, from the El Ramal area, and was a former player for the Unión Deportiva Orotava quarry.

The club also posted the sad news on its Facebook profile and extended its sincere condolences to families and friends.

The Florida councilor, Delia Escobar, assures that the neighborhood “is dismayed by the unexpected and sad news.” The mayor has conveyed her condolences to family members and close friends in these difficult and complicated times, “where there is no consolation or words of encouragement that can fill the void left by such a great loss.”

In the same way, Josele del Pino expressed himself, who shared a large part of his childhood and adolescence with the deceased since he was the same age as his aunt. “It was very curious to try to explain, for example, in school – since they went to the same class – that we were not brothers, but aunt and nephew,” he commented.

The bodies of both were found in the bathroom on Saturday afternoon by the owner of the house, located between the neighborhoods of La Concepción and Tijoco Arriba, closer to the latter, a place they used to frequent since, in addition, in the case of the man, he was a friend of the son of the owner of the house.

The Civil Guard agents were the first to travel to the area. At the first stage of the investigation, the bodies did not show traces of blood or signs of violent death. One of the hypotheses that are considered about the death of the couple is a gas leak due to the smell that the agents found in the bathroom, although this was not the case in the rest of the house.

However, we will have to wait for the result of the autopsy that will be obtained in the next few hours to know the cause of death. Until then, all hypotheses are open.

The house they had chosen to rest is green and white with a grapevine at its entrance, and very difficult to access, since it is located below the level of the road. The closest homes are quite far away and, perhaps, this explains why the surrounding residents did not find out until yesterday about an event that shocked the entire Island.

The judge on duty, head of court number 2 of Arona, arrived after 8:00 p.m. at the scene of the events and also did the scientific police personnel to try to clarify what happened. The Servisa van was already parked outside and then he accessed the ramp of the house to facilitate the transfer of the corpses. The last one was done at 9:30 p.m.

This tragic death joins others that have occurred in Tenerife so far this year. One of them also in the South, in San Miguel de Abona, when a 34-year-old man was arrested by the Civil Guard as the alleged murderer of his parents, a septuagenarian couple also very loved by their neighbors because they ran a small family dairy very close from your home.

The second was the violent death of a 43-year-old woman in Santa Úrsula at the hands of her ex-partner, who had had a restraining order since May 30, after trying to attack her during confinement.

In this case, the victim was found inside a septic tank located in a house in the La Corujera neighborhood. Apparently, the aggressor requested the collaboration of a third person – a friend – to help him dispose of the remains of the woman’s body so that he would not be exposed to possible witnesses.
