KOMPAS.com – Samsung officially launched the mobile Galaxy S20 FE in Indonesia. This cheap version of the Galaxy S20 flagship can be ordered by Samsung fans in Indonesia starting September 24.
You could say, this phone is a “special” family of the Galaxy S20 line. Why? This is because Samsung uses the appendage “FE” which stands for ‘Fan Edition’ which is said to be specifically aimed at its fans.
Galaxy S20 FE have specification and a design identical to the regular Galaxy S20. However, Samsung made a number of hardware adjustments to match the price.

Talking about price, the Galaxy S20 FE is priced at IDR 10 million. With this price tag, what are the shape and specifications of the Galaxy S20 FE?

KompasTekno had the opportunity to try out the red Galaxy S20 FE variant. Because it targets consumers who are younger than the regular S20, the packaging box is designed to be more “cheerful”.
The white box has various motifs that arise. The motif represents some of the features carried, for example, dark mode, camera, super steady, wide camera, etc.
In addition to the cellphone unit, the packaging box contains the charger head and cable, a short manual, warranty card, IMEI sticker, and SIM ejector.
Design and features
Actually, the screen of the Galaxy S20 FE is bigger than the regular Galaxy S20. The Galaxy S20 FE has a 6.5-inch screen span, while the regular version is 6.2 inches. However, the Galaxy S20 FE feels very light. One-handed operation is still possible.

Like the ‘brother’, the corners of the body are rounded. Frame or bezelit’s very thin and the screen is quite sensitive. So, sometimes often “squeezed” on applications or features that you do not want.
However, the thin frame makes the visual experience more maximal. Moreover, on the top side there is only punch hole or 32MP resolution front camera hole (f / 2.2). This resolution is also higher than the regular Galaxy S20, whose front camera is only 10MP (f / 2.2).

Another part that is different is the back which is made of polycarbonate. Although that doesn’t really reduce the aesthetic value of this phone’s design too much.
Even though it’s polycarbonate, the Galaxy S20 FE still supports the NFC feature, wireless charging and reverse charge, where users can charge by attaching other Samsung Galaxy devices that also support similar features.
On the back there is only a camera module which contains three lenses. They are a 12 MP (f / 2.2) main camera, a 12 MP ultra wide camera (f / 2.4), and an 8 MP (f / 2.4) telephoto camera, respectively. The three cameras are accompanied by an LED flash.
The back of the Galaxy S20 FE is made of polycarbonate material and features NFC, wireless charger and reverse charger.-
The rear camera is also supported by the Space Zoom feature with the ability of 3x optical and 30x magnification super resolution zoom. Meanwhile, the fingerprint scanner sensor is embedded in the screen, like the other Galaxy S lines.
Lover jack audio 3.5mm seems to be disappointed. Because, the Galaxy S20 FE removed the hole. So, users must use a 3.5mm USB C-to-jack audio adapter in order to continue using it earphone electric wire.

Other options, can use earbuds or earphone wireless. If you look at the bottom side, there is only a USB C port to charge and holes speaker.
Absence jack audio could be a strategy to keep the Galaxy S20 FE body slim.
Without an audio jack, Galaxy S20 FE users can use wireless earphones or earbuds such as the Galaxy Buds to listen to audio.-
Slide to the right side, there is a physical volume and power button that can also be set as the Bixby virtual assistant call button. On the top side of the phone there is a drawer for placing SIM and microSD cards. Only that, there are no other physical buttons on the left side.

A little discuss about “offal”. The Galaxy S20 FE is powered by the Exynos 990 chip combined with 8GB / 128GB RAM / storage. The battery has a supporting capacity of 4,500 mAh fast charging 2.0.
