Border Guard player Mohamed Abdel Latif Grendo did not get the ball after the end of the match after he scored 3 goals in the first line of the army in the 12th round of the Egyptian League.
It was the football practice that the player who scored a hat trick got the ball after the match ended.
Grindo revealed what happened after the end of the match, saying: “After the match ended, some of my colleagues asked me to go in order to get the ball from the referees, but I preferred not to go.”
“Perhaps because we are playing in the stadium of Vanguard of the Army, and the ball is not the property of the club,” he said on MBC Egypt.
“I’m in Cairo, and I hope they send the ball to me,” he joked.
Grindo became the second player of the season to score a hat trick in the Egyptian League, after Walid Suleiman, the Al Ahly player, at El Gouna.
