An elderly adult loses his life after being shot in the head this morning in the Bronx.
Officers patrolling the streets reportedly heard gunshots at the intersection of West 168th Street and Ogden Avenue in the Highbridge area.
Upon arrival, officers found an 80-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was identified as Marcelino Valerio.
Medical services declared his death at the scene.
A man was seen fleeing the scene on a black motorized scooter.
So far there have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
