Donating blood in birch honey dinners: three first-time donors were there

The Red Cross readiness birch honey dinner had invited again to donate blood. The kind request was then followed by a total of 53 women and
Men mostly from the local area. We were particularly pleased about the three first-time donors.

Birch honey meal. The procedure naturally followed the hygiene rules of Corona times. This means, among other things, wearing a face mask and temperature control at the entrance to the gym. After registering, it went
for a medical preliminary examination with blood pressure measurements. There was one-way traffic in the hall itself.

Then the way was clear to donate half a liter of blood each time. For safety reasons, however, only six couches were available. In addition to the representatives of the responsible DRK blood donation service, seven volunteers from the local Red Cross proved themselves on site. After resting, the donors were allowed to give one as a small gift and as a token of thanks
Take candy with you when you leave the hall.

If you know that around 15,000 blood donations are needed every day to care for sick or injured people in Germany and that anyone can suddenly find themselves in such a situation, then all donors deserve great praise. For example, a young woman from Friesenhagen donated to the birch honey dinner
second time, which makes us hope that younger people are also aware of their responsibility.

The next appointment in Birch Honey Dinner is scheduled for Friday, July 30th. An appointment is already made now online here possible. A negative corona test is not required and donations can also be made immediately after the vaccination. (PM / bt)
