Donald Trump released a statement confirming her death: “I am deeply saddened to inform all those who loved her, and there are many, that Ivana Trump has died at her home in New York,” Variety.com reports.
“She was a wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman who led a great and inspiring life. Her pride and joy were her three children – Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. She was so proud of them as we all were so proud of her. Rest in peace in peace, Ivana!”
The family also released a press release that read: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an incredible woman – a powerhouse in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor.”
Donald and Ivana were married from 1977 to 1992.
Ivana Trump – previously Ivana Zelničkova was born in 1949 in a Czech city in Zlín.
