Corona in MV: 2,679 new infections – two more deaths | NDR.de – News

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the authorities have registered 2,679 new corona infections since Monday. 23 Covid-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units nationwide. The hospitalization incidence increases to 5.4.

The number of registered new corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has increased by 2,679 cases since Monday (as of Tuesday 3:38 p.m.). That’s 241 more cases than a week ago. The number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 2,283 (+2).

According to LAGuS, 3,445,1787 doses of vaccine have been administered so far (as of Monday, July 11) in the north-east. Accordingly, 1,217,200 people have been vaccinated at least once and are thus partially immunized (vaccination rate 75.6 percent). 1,201,637 people (vaccination rate 74.6 percent) are basic immunized, i.e. twice vaccinated or recovered and vaccinated. 956,838 people have received a booster vaccination (vaccination rate 59.4 percent), 111,914 people have already received their second booster vaccination (vaccination rate 6.9 percent). The LAGuS reports the vaccination figures once a week.

Hospitalization incidence rises to 5.4

The incidence value of corona patients brought to a clinic for treatment within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants is 5.4 (+0.2). According to figures from LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, there are currently 23 people (-1) with Covid-19 in an intensive care unit. According to the intensive care register (as of Tuesday 2:05 p.m.), 7 (-2) patients are being ventilated invasively.

Highest hospitalization incidence in Schwerin

The highest incidence of hospitalization (as of Tuesday, July 12) continues to be in Schwerin at 7.3. It is followed by the district of Rostock with 6.0, the city of Rostock, the district of Northwest Mecklenburg and the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim with 5.7 each, the district of Western Pomerania-Rügen with 5.3, the Mecklenburg Lake District with 5.0 and Western Pomerania-Greifswald with 3.8.

New infection incidence nationwide at 576.7

The seven-day incidence of new infections nationwide on Monday was 576.7 (+14.7). Northwest Mecklenburg had the highest value on Monday with 660.9, the lowest in Western Pomerania-Rügen with 521.3. Ludwigslust-Parchim reported the most newly infected people with 424 new cases. It is followed by the district of Rostock (406), Western Pomerania-Greifswald (387), the Mecklenburg Lake District (358), Northwest Mecklenburg (354), Western Pomerania-Rügen (328), the city of Rostock (280) and Schwerin (142).

Seven-day incidences in 12- to 17-year-olds are falling

LAGuS publishes a status report on the corona situation among children and young people, which is broken down by age group. According to the report on Tuesday, July 12, there were 36 new infections among 0-5 year olds nationwide, the seven-day incidence of new infections in this group was 200. In the 6-11 year old group there were 44 new infections, the incidence was 244. The group of 12 to 17 year olds had 63 new infections and an incidence of 418.

On Monday, July 11, LAGuS reported seven active cases of infection (+1) from the geriatric care facilities. 31 residents (+9) and 17 employees (-2) were affected. The numbers are reported weekly by LAGuS.
