In Australia we lead a mostly normal life. After the government closed the borders in March 2020, a lockdown in April and May brought the situation under control. Only the residents of Melbourne had to spend the winter in the southern hemisphere again with many restrictions after the virus had crept in and spread again. Around five million people there had to stay at home for four months and were only allowed to leave their homes to go shopping or do sports. In addition, there was a nightly curfew and no one was allowed to be further than three miles from their home. That was tough, but it completely eradicated the local corona outbreak. After that, the second largest city in Australia had zero cases again.
