Darmstadt (ots) – A seemingly confused man triggered a police operation in the city center on Wednesday evening (May 20). At around 8:30 p.m., passersby spoke to a patrol team at the Art Nouveau bath and reported a male person who allegedly molested a passerby with her daughter in the intersection of Landgraf-Georg-Straße / Pützerstraße / Teichhausstraße. The police were able to locate the two women quickly. They confirmed the facts and were able to describe the alleged perpetrator’s direction of escape. As part of the immediate area search initiated and supported by further patrols, the person described could be localized and arrested in Heinrich-Fuhr-Strasse. It turned out that the 25-year-old had previously not only addressed other drivers and a motorcycle driver on his escape route. The glass pane of an apartment building had also come under his sights. He was injured by breaking the window and also caused property damage of at least 800 euros. Because of his health, he was taken to a hospital. The police investigation is ongoing.
