Han Dong-hoon, chairman of the People Power Party’s emergency response committee, was born in 1973 and is a member of Generation X, graduating in 1990. That year, Chairman Han entered Seoul National University Law School. It is said that he was inspired by Seo Taiji’s music, which he enjoyed listening to during his college days, and used it for his inauguration ceremony. This can be interpreted as showing that they will bring judgment on Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung and the liquidation of the 1986 movement at the forefront in this general election.
In his speech that day, Chairman Han emphasized several times the ‘liquidation of activist privilege politics’. Chairman Han appointed Representative Kim Hyeong-dong as Chief of Staff immediately after announcing his inauguration position. Chairman Han said on this day that Rep. Kim was elected for the first time in Andong and Yecheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do. He was born in 1975 and is two years younger than Chairman Han, who was born in 1973. Meanwhile, after appointing up to 15 emergency committee members, including three ex officio emergency committee members, including floor leader Yoon Jae-ok, the Han Dong-hoon emergency committee system will be launched. There are calls within the party to form an emergency committee with young people born in the 1970s or younger.
