Bolivian Police Seize Record 8.8 Tons of Cocaine in Largest Drug Bust in Country’s History

Bolivian police have made the biggest drug bust in the country’s history, President Luis Arce says. It would involve approximately 8.8 tons of cocaine. According to Bolivian authorities, the drugs were probably on their way to the Netherlands.

The drugs were intercepted in the west of the South American country. They were hidden under the wooden floor of a truck.

In Bolivia, the drugs have a street value of approximately 205 million euros. According to the Bolivian authorities, the drugs generate at least 480 million euros in Europe.

Four people have been arrested. Raids were carried out at nine places, the news agency wrote Reuters.
