“Benfica Interested in Andre Silva from RB Leipzig, with Sporting Out of the Race”

The German newspaper ‘Bild’ advances this Monday that Benfica is interested in the Portuguese international André Silva, a 27-year-old striker from RB Leipzig and with a strong connection to FC Porto, a club that he represented for several years, from training until he left in 2017 for Milan, having then passed through Seville (loan) and Eintracht Frankfurt (first loaned, then permanent) before, in 2021, signing for RB Leipzig.

According to ‘Bild’, André Silva is one of the players who intends to leave the German emblem in the summer, and the club from Luz is among those interested.

According to the same news, RB Leipzig intends to fit in something like 20 million, but admits to lowering the bar to 15 million, a «more realistic» value.

Interestingly, Sporting is also mentioned in the news, but soon removed from the race: «He has no money», it can be read.

André Silva, with a contract until 2026, has nine goals and nine assists in 44 games this season (44 games), after 17 goals and six assists (51 games) in the previous season.
