With reports below 100 daily positive cases of Covid-19, the country has been maintained during the first 15 days of this year 2023, maintaining a downward trend in its positivity indicators and hospitalizations.
From the first to January 15, the epidemiological surveillance system has captured 581 cases of the virus confirmed by tests, which have been reported by laboratories where they carry out the tests.
In the reports on the behavior of the new coronavirus from the Ministry of Health, average daily infections ranging from three to 56 cases are recorded from January 1 to date, with 141 cases being reported only on January 4.
In bulletin number 1033 issued yesterday by the Epidemiology Directorate, 16 new positive cases captured in 671 processed laboratory samples were reported. Of the reported cases, 11 were captured in the National District. So far this year, the system has captured 581 new positive cases of Covid-19. The first 15 days of the year have been maintained with records below 100 daily cases.
Covid produces symptoms that include fever, cough, shortness of breath, muscle pain, and fatigue. In severe cases it is characterized by producing pneumonia, acute respiratory distress and circulatory shock.
