Agents of the Torrelavega National Police have arrested a 45-year-old man for attack his father and keep a real arsenal of weapons in his room. The arrested person is RFS, a man with a police record who apparently was a hunter in his day but, at present, does not have a license to have weapons or is involved in any activity.
It all happened this past Tuesday, the 23rd, when, in the afternoon, the father went to ask a neighbor for help, in the Torres neighborhood. She was the one who called 091 explaining that a man had asked her to notify the police because her son had just attacked him with a knife and was wounded in the arm. A patrol from the Citizen Attention Group (GAC) appeared at that place and the victim told the agents that after an argument her son threw the radio he was listening to the ground and, immediately afterwards, cut his left arm with that knife and then grabbed him tightly by the neck “preventing him from breathing,” the police say, although later the father managed to get away and escape to ask his neighbor for help.
And it was the father who explained to the police officers that the discussions with his son “were continuous” and that also he kept “an arsenal of weapons” in his room, so he was “afraid” that she might use them against him. Then, the agents entered the aggressor’s bedroom and found next to his bed a surprising collection with half a dozen firearms and many knives. This is what was there:
A chimney hook, a compressed air pistol, a blank revolver, a slingshot pistol, a knife with a 7 cm blade modified to have two edges, another 16 cm modified to have two edges, a 11.5 cm pocket knife , a 12.5 cm mount knife type dagger with saw. He also kept a 12.5 cm kitchen knife modified to have two edges, another modified 8 cm, three axes (one of which is a butcher with a 14 cm blade), a hand saw with a 25 cm blade modified at the tip to have an edge and point, a traditional type sword katana, another ornamental sword sharpened to be double edged and a craft spear with a butcher’s ax tip sharpened on all its edges. There were also two boxes of 22 gauge pellets, one carbine with precision sight and a Sawed-off shotgun and with modified barrel.
And there was even more, because in another room of the home, behind a sofa, the police found a hidden revolver and a pistol.
One of the policemen took the wounded man to the Sierrallana Hospital in order to receive medical assistance given the wound he had on his arm. The other agent proceeded to arrest the son as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of injuries and illegal possession of weapons, being transferred to police stations.
Likewise, all the weapons found at the home were seized. The detainee, with a record, was brought to justice.
