DThe development of a vaccine is the most effective and most important measure to permanently stop the coronavirus. Research Minister Anja Karliczek didn’t come to Corona for a long time. It was only on March 3 that she announced that she would like to provide additional money for research. “The necessary application review and assessment will only take a few weeks,” the BMBF said. It is doubtful whether Germany is getting closer to the goal of quickly developing a vaccine.

Karliczek’s passivity to date has of course consequences for the German research scene and ultimately also for the sick.
