In its traditional manner, AMD is starting to lower the cost of Ryzen 3000 processors in light of the recent release of competing 10th generation Intel Core chips. For example, Ryzen 9 3900X has fallen in price to $ 410 on average, and some overseas stores even offer CPUs cheaper than $ 400.
At this price, the Ryzen 9 3900X (12 cores / 24 threads, 3.8 / 4.6 GHz) is directly opposed to the Core i7-10700K (8 cores / 16 threads, 3.8 / 5.1 GHz) with the same retail price. Moreover, in certain scenarios, the Ryzen 9 3900X is more interesting than the flagship Core i9-10900K (10 cores / 20 threads, 3.7 / 5.3 GHz) with a price tag above $ 500.
As independent tests show, the Core i9-10900K is rightfully the “gaming king”, ahead of the Ryzen 9 3900X in games by an average of 7%. On the other hand, the “red” counterpart is 12% faster in multi-threaded work applications.
As for Ukrainian retail, according to the aggregator Hotline.ua, Ryzen 9 3900X in stores is available at an average price of 14,000 hryvnia.
