Alienware’s 500Hz monitor already has a price and a release date

During the January technology fair CES 2023 we brought you a series of news about newly introduced products. One of them was 500Hz monitor from Dellwhich was announced under its Alienware gaming brand, and was understandably also featured on our site. Now this bloated piece has a price and a release date.

Alienware AW2524H will be available on store shelves in North America starting March 21st, priced at US$829.99, which in conversion, it represents approximately CZK 18,350 without VAT. Originally, however, a much higher amount was expected. However, we do not have any information about availability outside this continent, so it is not clear whether the monitor will also be available in the Czech Republic.

She is practically the most interesting attraction of this monitor 500Hz refresh ratewhich will come in handy mainly for players of competitive shooters, such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive. But it must be said that it can only be achieved by overclocking from the basic 480Hz frequency. The icing on the cake is the display speed 0.5ms responsehowever some other parameters are not so famous.

As could be expected even before the release of the monitor, its resolution is only FullHD. But demanding CS players, who often use completely obscure resolutions, will probably not bother them so much. Alienware AW2524H it also uses an IPS panelthe problem of which is that the pixels are not illuminated individually, and therefore it is not possible to achieve as believable colors and dark blacks as in the case of OLED technology.

The screen offers 99% coverage of the sRGB color gamut and certification VESA DisplayHDR 400, which ensures excellent image visibility from all angles. The manufacturer has obviously also focused on the design side, so it is located on the back of the monitor glowing Alienware logo a number 25 of the same color. Between these two elements sits a stand that says Alienware for a change.

If the monitor eventually made its way to us, would you consider buying it? Let us know in the comments!
