In an exclusive interview with Al-Jadeed, the editor-in-chief of the “Shareka Wan” website, journalist and feminist activist Hayat Mirshad, confirmed that the only requirement for Saeed Al-Marouk’s wife is to obtain from the civil court the his full rights, including the fundamental rights of his children represented in matters of education, expenses and more.
Mirshad explained that Saeed Al-Marouk and Jihan Abu Ayed married a civilian in 2017, and did not marry religiously, meaning the divorce will inevitably be through the civil court, but what has happened is a “terrible legal scandal. against the Sunni Sharia court “, as you said, as the Sunni court issued The ruling on” extension and testimony “of Saeed Al-Marouk according to his request, knowing that the court has no right to issue this sentence in his absence of any legal marriage contract by the Sunni court.
And the matter did not stop at this point, Marshad continued, as the Marouks filed a divorce suit before the Sunni Sharia Court and the court issued a divorce decision, while there is no legal marriage contract between the Marouk and Jihan Abu Ayed, adding that “Jihan will attend a session of the Sunni Sharia court tomorrow”. court decisions and its issuance of “unwanted by request” sentences, especially since Jihan has a court-certified document that there is no legal marriage contract.
On the other hand, in addition to the question of marriage and the religious court, according to Murshad, there are reports of a coroner confirming that Saeed Al-Marouk “attacked his wife and children by beating and” biting “, and granted protection orders. for her and her children, imprisonment and travel bans “.
Saeed Al Marouk’s wife tried to communicate with a number of artists asking for their support, only to be surprised by their response that she had to endure and not reveal these things happening between them at home.
In this context, Murshad confirms that women’s associations will not close the file and will remain alongside Jihan to obtain their rights and to expose all of Saeed Al Marouk’s actions.
As for Al-Marouk’s latest tweet, in which he threatened the judiciary, Hayat Mirshad said: “He may not threaten the judiciary, he doesn’t think it will scare us, because the documents we have will destroy his professional future”.
