Last Monday afternoon, Anthony Jefferson went with his three children to a Bronx dealership in New York with the intention of buying a car. There a series of events took place that have changed the life of this 39-year-old American and his family. As can be seen in the video that leads this article, published by the New York police, three assailants entered the establishment and began shooting. Jefferson did not hesitate and threw himself on top of his six, five and two year old children to protect them and as a result of his action he was shot. Unable to walk for the moment due to the injuries suffered, the father has lost both jobs he used to perform, one as a painter in a maintenance company and the other as a builder, as published in the American tabloid TMZ, which cites his wife as a source.
According to the testimony of Danica Jefferson, Anthony has been discharged although he cannot walk normally, a circumstance that for his employers has been enough to dispense with his job. In addition, he has to undergo surgery again because he still has a bullet lodged in his thigh. To help the family and defray the costs of the father’s new operation and the therapy that the three children may need, a friend of the family has started a campaign of crowdfunding. The goal of the campaign was to raise $ 24,000 and it already has more than 270,000.
