A motorcade transporting infantry fighting vehicles is moving from the Novo Selo training ground to Greece, the press center of the Ministry of Defense announced in connection with received questions about the movement of military equipment on the national road infrastructure.
The move is in connection with the rotation of a formation of the US Army, which participates in the joint Bulgarian-American training “Joint Training” at the training ground “Novo Selo”, reported from there.
The joint training is held from January to June this year in the framework of the joint exercises of the Bulgarian Army in the country and abroad planned in 2021. US Army formations in Europe participate in it on a rotating basis.
The Joint Training involves forces and resources from the Ministry of Defense, the structures under the direct authority of the Minister of Defense and the Bulgarian Army. The joint exercises increase the combat capability of the Bulgarian Armed Forces and contribute to interoperability in national and allied formats.
