MAKASSAR, KOMPAS.TV- Helmud Hontong, Deputy Regent (Wabup) of the Sangihe Islands, died on the plane on his way home from Bali to Manado via Makassar, Wednesday (9/6/2021).
The following is the chronology of the death of the Vice Regent Sangihe who boarded the Lion Air flight number JT-470.
Helmud Hontong’s plane departed from Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 15.08 WITA and according to the schedule it would land at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport at 16.08 WITA.
“At 15:40 WITA, there was one passenger in question (Helmud Hontong) who needed further medical assistance,” he said. Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Danang Mandala Prihantoro in his written statement quoted from Kompas.com, Thursday (10/6/2021).

Danang added that seeing the incident the cabin crew leader along with other cabin crew immediately approached to find out Helmud Hontong’s condition.
After receiving detailed information and observations, the cabin crew leader immediately issued an announcement whether the flight included a doctor or medical professional.
