The revolt of supporters on social media led Schalke 04 to reverse their intention to sign Sergi Enrich. The 31-year-old former Eibar player was free on the market and was even already in Gelsenkirchen to sign a contract with Schalke 04, but the deal fell through.
All because, according to the German press, supporters revealed their anger after learning that Sergi Enrich and Antonio Luna, also a former Eibar player, published, in 2016, a sexual video on the Internet without the consent of a woman who also appeared in that video.
The case went to court and both were sentenced to two years in prison, a sentence replaced after having paid 100,000 euros to the victim.
