Sporting beat São Mamede (3-0), in the ninth round of the regular phase of the national volleyball championship. It was the return of the lions to triumphs after the defeat by Fonte do Bastardo in the previous round.
At the João Rocha Pavilion, Gersinho’s team had no difficulties in beating the visitors and won in three sets (25-15, 25-19 and 25-14).
With this triumph, Sporting is in third place with 21 points, three behind Fonte do Bastardo. São Mamede is in 11th place, with seven points.
