Rui Costa won the duel with Francisco Benitez with a vote of around 90 percent. He will succeed Luís Filipe Vieira in the presidency of Benfica, after the most competitive elections in the club’s history, which had 40115 voters.
Benfica’s partners responded en masse to the elections and their decision leaves no room for doubt. Rui Costa is chosen to lead the eagles for the next four years.
