Ronald Koeman has a contract until the end of this season with Barcelona and the Catalan TV channel Esport3 has now unveiled a clause related to the possible renewal.
According to the source, the club will have to pay six million euros to the Dutch coach if he does not renew his contract for a third season, that of 2022/2023.
The value has to do with the compensation that Koeman had to pay to the Federation of his country to leave the position of selector that he occupied when he decided to accept the invitation to guide Barcelona, in August 2020.
Also according to Esport3, the coach’s contract also provides for compensation of around 14 million euros in case of dismissal.
