Ecuador drew with Peru (2-2), in a game counting for the fourth round of Group B of the Copa América. Gonzalo Plata, from Sporting, was not in the squad for the Ecuadorian team.
Tapia’s own goal (23′) and Preciado’s goal (45+3′) gave Ecuador the advantage at half-time. However, the Peruvians began a recovery with goals from Lapadula (49′) and ex-Sporting and Benfica André Carrillo (54′).
With this result, Peru is in third place with four points, more than Ecuador, which occupies the fourth place.
