ACCS Paris, where the Portuguese Ricardinho and Bruno Coelho play, were demoted to the second division of French futsal by the Economic Control Committee of the French Football Federation. At issue, according to the French press, will be economic irregularities and wage arrears for players and technical staff.
Last Saturday, the Parisian team was crowned champions on the field, after 20 victories in 22 games, but three days later was relegated from the secretariat to the second tier and had the title taken away.
In a statement, ACCS Paris announced that it will appeal the sanction: “We will wait for the appeal before drawing conclusions and, as defending champions, we will prepare for the next season, both in the first division and in the Champions League.”
