The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, handed over this Monday, March 22, the Order of Infante D. Henrique to Abel Ferreira, winner of the Libertadores Cup and the Brazil Cup by Palmeiras.
The ceremony took place in the Palace of Belém Ambassadors’ Room, with the necessary restrictions in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Colonel Boaventura José Martins Ferreira, with the rank of Grand Officer of the Order of Liberty, and Dr. Paulo Jorge Milhano Neves Estrela, with the rank of Commander of the Order of Infante D. Henrique, were also honored at the same ceremony.
