viral! Part of the Sun Breaking Recorded by NASA, Scientists are Stunned

WASHINGTON – An incident that had never been seen before stunned scientists, namely that part of the sun’s north pole was split. The moment was captured by NASA’s James Webb telescope and the video has gone viral.

The video shows the massive filament seen exploding away from the sun, splitting open, and then spiraling into the north polar vortex.

Although astronomers were dumbfounded, they believed that its appearance was related to the periodic reversals of the sun’s magnetic field.

Space weather expert Tamitha Skovposting the video on Twitter and credited NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory for capturing it.

“Talk about the Polar Vortex! Material from the northern bulge has just broken free from the main filament and is now circulating in a massive polar vortex around the north pole of our star. Implications for understanding the dynamics of the solar atmosphere above 55 degrees in

Here can’t be exaggerated!” Tamitha wrote on Twitter last week.

Scientists are more concerned about recent innovations because the sun continues to emit solar flares (also known as prominences) which can sometimes interfere with communications on Earth.

Solar filaments, according to NASA, are clouds of magnetically bound energetic particles that hover above the sun. These appear as strands hanging down and extending from the sun’s surface.
