Thousands of years ago, an epidemic wiped out a prehistoric village in China. The bodies of the dead were piled up in a house which was then set on fire. This plague almost killed all ages, because the skeletons of teenagers, young adults and middle-aged people were found in the house.

The archaeological site is now called “Hamin Mangha” and is one of the best-preserved prehistoric sites in northeastern China. Archaeological and anthropological studies show that epidemic happened fast enough that there was no time for a proper burial.
