The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health of the Valencian Community has reported a total of 745 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen test -165 fewer cases- and nine deaths -one more- since the last update last Thursday, and hospitals have 254 people admitted -86 more-.
Of the total number of new cases, 120 correspond to the province of Castellón (197,103 in total), 173 to Alicante (537,396 in total) and 452 to Valencia (857,198 in total).
Of these, 450 are people over 60: 72 in Castellón, 107 in Alicante and 271 in Valencia, as detailed by the Department of Health in a statement.
For their part, the Valencian hospitals currently have 254 people admitted for covid -86 more than a week ago-, 13 of them in the ICU -six more-: 31 in the province of Castellón, three in the ICU; 53 in the province of Alicante, three of them in the ICU, and 170 in the province of Valencia, seven in the ICU.
In addition, Health has notified nine deaths from coronavirus since the last update, all of them with a death date in the last seven days.
Specifically, they are five women, between 89 and 95 years old, and four men between 74 and 89 years old. Thus, the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 10,476: 1,268 in the province of Castellón, 3,969 in Alicante and 5,239 in Valencia.
