King Eric, as he was known across the Channel, may never have worn his nickname so well. Eric Cantona appeared in Once, Liam Gallagher’s latest music video, as a bit alcoholic and a lover of red wine. The story is all the more funny since the former member of Oasis is a staunch supporter of Manchester City even though the former French footballer is a living legend of rival club Manchester United. I am absolutely delighted that Eric Cantona, the last of the rock’n’roll footballers, appears in my clip. Songs like these are rare, footballers like him are also rare, twitt Liam Gallagher.
In this video, we discover Cantona walking around in a huge house. Visibly taken from drink, the Frenchman goes from room to room while drinking red wine. Fun detail: it is Liam Gallagher who serves him glasses and who even officiates as the king’s driver at the end of the clip.
