Cities fear that gradual containment will cause conflict, says city NZZ am Sonntag.
The use of public space will be discussed within the Swiss Union of Cities, explains in the newspaper Renate Amstutz, the director of the association. Conflicts can arise, for example, over the use of traffic areas, sidewalks, at bus stops or in front of certain stores, she adds. A survey of cities shows that they are ready to accept queues to fight the spread of the virus.
The NZZ am Sonntag also claims that a relaxation of entry conditions at the borders of Switzerland is envisaged. Family reunification should soon be possible, confirms a spokesperson for the Minister of Justice Karin Keller-Sutter in the newspaper.
