Projection technology is one of the most miniaturized in recent years, which has allowed it to reach countless homes to live the (authentic) home theater experience. Gone are those bulbs of many kilos, lamps to illuminate the screen and triple RGB projection system that cost a real fortune.
Thanks to technologies such as LED, it is possible to enjoy increasingly compact and small models with a really good projection power, capable of displaying vivid images, with a lot of detail and color. And Xiaomi, an expert in putting its head in all markets, is one of those that has done the most for the popularization of these gadgets.

The fact is that Xiaomi has presented its new Mi Smart Projector 2 which is characterized, as we look at it, for having an extraordinarily small and compact design, which will allow us to take it anywhere we can think of. What’s more, surely if we put it on a table in the living room there will be many who confuse it with a bluetooth speaker of those that we use to listen to music.
That body so often hides a projection system capable of offering screen sizes ranging from 60 to 120 inches, with FHD resolution (1,920×1,080) and that will allow us to see any content we can imagine. Either through the platforms in which we have subscription, as well as content that you let’s poke through the USB port and previously copied to a pendrive.

As you can see from the photos, the back has just the right connections to plug in the power adapter, a headset or an external speaker system, a USB-A port and the HDMI that cannot be missing (and to which we can connect a Chromecast, a Fire TV Stick, a video game console or any device that comes to mind).
Anyway, if we don’t want to use another gadget external to view content, this Xiaomi projector has resources to function independently. That is helped by having the Chromecast standard already integrated thanks to its small Android TV installation. To make this possible, the My Smart Projector 2 has 2GB of RAM, 16 gigabytes of internal storage, built-in Wi-Fi, bluetooth and two small 5W speakers. At the moment, it does not have a specific launch date in Spain or the price at which it will come out.
