With art and historical talks, San Francisco and Nogolí celebrated Independence Day

This Friday, the educational communities of both towns shared the national celebration with music, dance and reflections. The proposals were organized by the Cultural Center of San Francisco, the History Board of San Luis, and the Civil and Museum Association “Juan W Gez”.

In San Francisco, the event was held in a picturesque setting, located about 7 kilometers from the town’s urban area. From 11:00, at School No. 171 “Pintor Vladimiro Melgarejo Muñoz”, the community of Pozo del Molle celebrated national independence together with municipal authorities and artistic groups.

This institution is recognized in the area for its stone coat of arms. In addition, it is surrounded by hills, talas, carob trees, tuscas and pitches that gave a special charm to the national celebration.

Likewise, in Nogolí, at the Educational Center No. 25 “Justo José de Urquiza” a Friday was lived in pure blue and white. “We talked about July 9, 1816 in San Luis, we delivered some bulletins from the History Board for the library and the ‘Juan W. Gez’ association did the same. It was a very emotional meeting with a lot of people”, said the president of the San Luis History Board, Raúl Fourcade.
