Why was pensioner attacked at Barbarossaplatz in Würzburg?

For unknown reasons, a 46-year-old alcoholized woman on Barbarossaplatz bumped a 67-year-old pensioner into a garbage can on Saturday afternoon. The woman was about to take deposit bottles thrown away from the bin when she was suddenly jostled by the 46-year-old. The aggressor received verbal support from her 59-year-old companion, who, according to the police report, cheered her on audibly during her deed. The 67-year-old suffered minor injuries, which initially did not require medical treatment.

Witnesses to the incident are asked to report to the Würzburg City Police Inspectorate by phone (09 31) 4 57-22 30.
