WhatsApp will allow video calls of up to 50 people

The option to make video calls and voice calls through the instant messaging application WhatsApp with up to eight participants now available worldwide, so it is only necessary that both users of iOS like Android, update the app to access this new function.

However, it seems that WhatsApp could expand the number of participants in an upcoming feature test.

WABetaInfo detected a link to Messenger Rooms in the latest version of WhatsApp Web Client, after finding a similar feature in the beta version of the Android application, strong evidence that Facebook is currently working on such integration.

The aforementioned shortcut is currently found both in the clips menu within the spaces and in the main menu of the web client. After clicking on it, users receive a message informing them that they will be redirected to Messenger Rooms, but it warns them that Messenger calls are not end-to-end encrypted if it happens on WhatsApp calls

It should be noted that this feature is not yet operational, as it is still in development. The inclusion of video calls of up to 50 people, could be a welcome option for those looking to make video calls within massive WhatsApp groups.

Also, it is not necessary to have a Facebook account to use Messenger Rooms.
