The teeming reptile was exploring the neighborhood, as video footage shows. “Brave local residents have caught the animal and handed it over to us,” the police reported via social media. The animal now has shelter in a reptile shelter.
Witness
Police are now looking for witnesses to track down the snake’s owners.
A red rat snake, also known as the corn snake, is found primarily in the southern and southeastern United States, according to the Blue Lagoon Knowledge Center. The animal gets its name from hunting rats and mice in forests or corn fields. The slenderly built strangling hose is between 150 and 180 centimeters long.
