Leipzig (dpa / sn) – Thursday in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia starts cloudy with temperatures between zero and two degrees. A maximum temperature of three degrees can be expected during the day. “If temperatures fluctuate around freezing point and there is occasional precipitation, the consequences for the weather are difficult to assess,” said a spokesman for the German Weather Service. In the mountains and in some areas also in lower elevations, there is likely to be frost during the day. Isolated drizzle could lead to slippery roads.
At night it stays frosty with little rainfall. In the mountains it can get foggy, in places also in the lowlands. According to the information, this frost phase will probably last until Monday, from the new week the temperatures should then be milder.
