Video: Police rescued an 11-year-old girl who attempted suicide in Bucaramanga

An 11-year-old girl decided to climb the roof of a house located in the Center of Bucaramanga in order to commit suicide. She stood on one edge of the roof and began to threaten to launch herself.

Upon realizing what was happening, several Police and Fire units arrived at the scene to try to prevent the little one from attempting against her life. Among the brave were David Mejía, a police auxiliary who is serving his compulsory military service.

After entering through a window, Mejía discreetly approached the girl, without her noticing. When he was very close, he pounced on her and held her arm tightly so that the young woman could not launch herself.

A few seconds later other units reached the minor and managed to lower it from the ceiling with the help of the ladder of the fire engine. She was disturbed, but in good health.

After the rescue, the assistant David Santiago explained what had happened: “It was something of great tension, because every step I took ran the risk of stepping wrong and the roof of the old house could collapse. But thank God I got to where the girl was, I was able to dialogue with her and convince her not to commit that madness. ”

The commander of the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police, General Luis Ernesto García highlighted the courageous action of the Police Assistant and congratulated him on his dedication and dedication to the institution.

The officer also explained that the girl is a minor who has her parents in jail and her brothers have diction drug problems.
