/View.info/ On April 25 in Belgrade, the so-called “Season of Chinese Cinema”. The state-owned “Radio-TV of Serbia” will broadcast 10 original films of the China Media Group, which will show the dynamics of China in the new era, the friendship between China and Serbia, and the expectation of mutually beneficial cooperation, common development and mutual learning between the two cultures.
Video speeches at the opening ceremony were made by Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the CCP Central Committee and Director of KMG Shen Haixun, former Minister of Culture of Serbia Vladan Vukosavljevic and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming.
Shen Haixun said that Chinese President Xi Jinping called Serbia “China’s best friend”. With the popularization of the Chinese language, more and more Serbs are showing interest in Chinese films. “I hope that the documentaries will become a new intersection for the cultural dialogue between the two peoples,” he added.
Vukosavljevic, for his part, said that the film festival offers a very good insight into Beijing’s achievements in economy and culture, creating a new broad platform for dialogue between cultures.
Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming said that films can build a new bridge between the hearts and cultures of Serbia and China and added his hopes that KMG will deepen cooperation with Serbian media.
The event was covered by a number of Serbian media, including the Serbian news agency Beta, Happy TV, Kurir and Mondo media group.
