Venna Melinda Withdraws Divorce Lawsuit, Ferry Irawan Divorce Case Continues

There is new news from the divorce process of Ferry Irawan and Venna Melinda.Venna decided to drop the lawsuit.

However, that doesn’t mean that Venna Melinda wants to be peaceful and return to Ferry Irawan. Because, he was forced to ‘give in’ and prefer to continue the divorce case made by Ferry’s party.

Previously, Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan registered each other for divorce on the same date. However, Ferry’s request for divorce was first accepted by the South Jakarta Religious Court.

“Today’s hearing is related to Venna’s case as plaintiff. Incidentally last week the panel of judges gave an instruction because there are two similar lawsuits, and both want a divorce. So it would be nice if one of them was revoked. So we are considering whether we should withdraw it,” said Venna Melinda’s lawyer , Noor Akhmad Riyadi, met at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Thursday (2/3/2023).

Noor Akhmad admitted that today he only submitted a request for the revocation of the case. However, the divorce trial for Ferry Irawan and Venna Melinda will continue, but referring to Ferry Irawan’s lawsuit, which entered the case first.

“Today the only agenda is to enter the application for repeal, the panel of judges will also read it immediately regarding the revocation of the case. But for 595 (Ferry Irawan’s divorce application to Venna Melinda) it will continue. We are the defendants and we will still file a counterclaim,” he said .

Furthermore, Noor Akhmad said that Venna Melinda had no loss by revoking the divorce suit. Everything is still the same, both parties still want a divorce.

“Nothing at all, because both of them want a divorce. Unless one of them doesn’t want a divorce, then there is a loss,” he explained.

However, the contents of Ferry Irawan’s request for divorce made Venna Melinda object. In the request, Ferry Irawan did not include domestic violence issues.

This made Venna Melinda plan to sue Ferry Irawan regarding domestic violence.

“(The party there wants a divorce) right, we also agree, the point is that Ms. Venna has no objection to the lawsuit, only her objection is that there is no domestic violence problem, while the issues are developing and the facts are happening at the East Java Regional Police. Later we will also sue the problem Domestic violence is also being sued by Pak Ferry,” he said.

The divorce trial for Ferry Irawan and Venna Melinda will be held again on March 9, 2023. The two parties will mediate.
