The effects of the pandemic and the vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 are reviewed in the Senate – Grupo Parlamentario Morena

  • The health emergency has not yet ended and we have great challenges for the future: Senator Rafael Espino

Three years after the start of the health emergency caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, mutations and infections continue, there is a lot of misinformation about the disease and the consequences of vaccines, highlighted Senator Rafael Espino de la Peña.

During the magisterial conference “Pandemic and vaccines, lessons learned”, he said that the immunity doses, which were created in developed countries such as the United States and Great Britain, have generated questions due to the speed, the little information on inoculation times, their convenience and its effects.

However, Espino de la Peña recognized that an urgent response to the emergency was needed, so the governments implemented measures to mitigate the consequences of the spread of the virus, such as isolating the population.

He commented that decisions were made that affected one aspect, benefited others, which is why some companies went bankrupt and, to date, there is very significant economic damage to families.

It is an issue that “is still something that is not conclusive, that has not been overcome and in which we have great challenges for the future, in terms of how we are going to continue handling this issue,” he stressed.

The Morena legislator asked Dr. Alejandro Diaz Villalobos, an immunologist pediatrician, to speak about the pandemic, the treatments found, the vaccines, the documented consequences of the remedies and what awaits us for the future, since he insisted that the crisis, “because we repeatedly hear about new outbreaks, of the famous mutations of this virus.”

Alejandro Diaz Villalobos explained that among the drugs to treat Covid-19, there is ivermectin that generates 4,162 adverse effects; hydroxychloroquine, which generates 207,440; dexamethasone, which generates 101,467; and vaccines against SARS-CoV-2, which generate 1,521,347 adverse effects.

This last number, he said, far exceeds the injuries caused by all the vaccines that exist, but combined. In addition, he pointed out that, according to the head of health of Florida, United States, he said that there is a 1,700 percent increase in the adverse effects of this substance.

He added that there is a record that 69.4 percent of the world population received a dose of the vaccine, which quantifies 13.27 billion doses applied, “it is a number that we have never seen in the modern era of vaccination.” In contrast, he added, only 26.4 percent of people in low-income countries received an immunization.

“We did not give the opportunity to achieve natural immunity, which is something important and we should have done it from the beginning, that is where this Via Crucis began,” he considered.

He recalled that on January 30, the World Health Organization declared a public health emergency of international concern, and on March 11 it was declared a pandemic; In the case of Mexico, the first case of this disease was registered on February 27, and on March 18 it was the first death in the national territory, so the emergency phase began on April 1, 2020.

He said that “on June 28 the red traffic light was installed and that’s where it all begins, the great confusion of something that was happening and nobody understood, to this day, what was happening.” On November 9, 2020, the country recorded 100,000 deaths; on March 25, 2021, 200,000 deaths, he added.
