Sabine Pfeffer succeeds Klaus Pekarek, who is retiring after many years of successful service on the board of directors
Vienna (OTS) – Vienna, December 21, 2022 – Dipl. BW Sabine Pfeffer, MLS (50) will take over the Customer & Market Bank Austria department at UNIQA on 1 April 2023 and is thus responsible for the Raiffeisen Versicherung brand. The graduate business economist, who also completed a master’s degree in legal studies and a university course in insurance economics from the WU Executive Academy, has more than 20 years of management experience in the insurance industry. More recently, you managed the personal insurance administration at the Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG. In addition to her extensive insurance experience, the manager has experience in the areas of human relations, process and project management as well as compliance and risk management.

Klaus Pekarek retires after many years of successful service on the board of directors
Sabine Pfeffer succeeds Dr. Klaus Pekarek, who is retiring after many years of successful work as a member of the board of directors. Pekarek began his career at Raiffeisenlandesbank Kärnten, where he also served as managing director. In 2010 he took over the management of Raiffeisen Insurance Ltd. This merged with UNIQA in 2016, with Pekarek playing a key role and has been a board member of UNIQA for bank sales ever since. “We would like to thank Klaus Pekarek for his many years of highly successful endeavor. Thanks to his long experience in demanding management positions, he has known the world of banks as well as that of insurance companies. With this outstanding competence, his consistently excellent technical and factual arguments and his ability to bring people along with him and inspire them, he made a significant contribution to the success of UNIQA”, Walter Rothensteiner emphasizes and concludes: “We wish Klaus Pekarek for the his imminent retirement and all his activities in his well-deserved retirement only the best!
