Two plainclothes officers were attacked, badly assaulted and shot with their own service weapons during an operation in the Parisian suburb of Herblay on Wednesday evening.

Three perpetrators attacked the officers and robbed them of their service weapons before opening fire on the police officers. The perpetrators are still fugitive, French media report.
One of the officers would be in danger. French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has reacted shocked and expressed support for the two agents. He said on Twitter that everything is being done to catch the perpetrators.
